Blade Writer Denise Penn Honored for Political Courage

The Blade’s own Denise Penn was among several women who were honored recently at an award reception featuring the original play Speaking Up! Penn was given the award for Political Courage.
Also honored for Political Courage were member of the Anti Human-Trafficking Task Force: Tammy Tran, Sandra Morgan, Alicia Woodard, Tiffany Nguyen, Lilly Nguyen, and Van Le.
The Rev. Minh Hanh Nguyen and Gloria Alvarado were honored as Community Heroines. Judy Perez and Nancy Aleccia were honed as Labor Pioneers.
